A small plant with big impact!

Pugster Amethyst butterfly bush is a versatile, space-saving dwarf variety with big, beautiful blooms of clear amethyst purple. Each one is dotted with a cute yellow eye in the center and emits the sweetest honey scent. You'll love it, but not as much as the butterflies it attracts, and they flock to it by the score.

Pugster butterfly bushes also offer thick, sturdy stems that give them better ability to withstand cold weather, too, so they're an ideal choice for gardeners in USDA zone 5.

A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub. Cannot be shipped to OR or WA.

Excellent plants and customer service

I ordered two of these Butterfly Bushes. When they arrived one looked ok, but the other one nearly all the leaves had wilted and fallen off. I emailed the company and they quickly. After a few days of watching the plant to see if would recover, but it died completely. They quickly sent a replacement (two actually) the replacements were in excellent condition and I have plants now that are flourishing.
This is one of three orders I have placed with Great Garden Plants over the past few months, my other two orders were for six plants each, arrived in excellent condition and are also doing fantastic. The customer service is excellent and matches the quality of the product.

QUALITY IS SURPERB

Amazing quality and very well packaged. You can't realize the quality of this plant unless you have received very poor quality. Ordered five from a dealer on ETSY and they can't compare to this plant, one was 2 1/2 inches tall which should have been a Pugster Amethyst but has bloomed twice and all white. All five plants had a fungus and required several treatments with a fungicide but now all clear. This plant has 5 buds ready to bloom and extremely healthy. Wilted a little from the trip but will improve as I have all four plants that I received in a shaded area. Will order from this company many times. THANKS

Smaller than expected, but still nice!

I'll be curious to see if they reach the 2' x 2' that the website indicates. They weren't much over 6" tall when we planted them. They did each yield ONE branch with SMALL purple flowers. But nothing outstanding. Hopefully, next summer they will flourish and produce more flowers.

So far so good!

Not looking so good

The plants are alive, but are slow to establish, and the leaves are yellowing. I'm an experienced gardener, so I'm not sure whats going on especially since butterfly bushes are not usually fussy.
