You might be surprised to find a panicle hydrangea on our site, since not all of them are very pollinator-friendly. Thankfully, Pinky Winky® Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) is! The lacecap blooms prominently display their nectar-rich florets, which pollinators adore. Since the flowers are not as tightly packed together, it's easy for bees and butterflies to reach the nectar reserves and pollen. Both you and the pollinators will love their gradient of two-toned flowers, which darken to pink as they mature.

Pinky Winky® is a hardy hydrangea that is surprisingly easy to care for. It blooms on new wood, which means it will reliably bloom year after year in your garden after a quick trim in the spring.

Lots of Potential

It was a very small shrub/plant in its quart pot. It was however super healthy and has a good root system for being so small compared to its mature size. I thought it was way too small to go directly into the landscape, so I immediately transplanted it with fresh potting soil into a larger container and put it in my part sun/shade holding area. It is so happy! In one month it has doubled in size. I check on it almost every day and give it plenty of water. I’m basically growing it into to a bigger better size for my landscape. I can do that in my 8b growing location. We still have one more month of growing season here as our first frost is late November. I plan to overwinter it in its container and plant it in the early spring when it wakes up and I see the first bits of green leaves. I feel confident that it will have much more success by allowing it to grow its roots in a container and nobody steps on it! I live in a rural area with few options to buy unusual plants for my garden. Thank you for sending me a great little plant with lots of potential!

Plants arrived in good shape. Planted in garden and they are thriving. Gained height & fullness in a few weeks. Looking forward to blooms next summer.

Flower Order

The plants I received were better than any plants I have ordered in the past from other catalogs. I will definitely order from this company again.

Not as big as I thought

I thought the plant would be bugger than it was when it arrived, but it was healthy and is doing well in. my garden.
