White Turtlehead (Chelone glabra or Chelone obliqua var. alba) serves as a beacon for pollinators with tall spikes of white and pink-hued flowers. The flowers bloom in the summer for weeks - resembling a turtle head - as the tubular blooms peek out adorably from the green calyx that surrounds it. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees all flock to their sweet nectar.

This North American native perennial thrives in moist, even wet soils, and can grow in some shade as well. Deer resistant and makes a good cut flower.

Flower buds

All 4 are growing well and have flower buds. I live in MA and it has been very hot & dry so we do water a few times a week.
