You may recognize this flower from arrangements, but this native perennial also makes a spectacular garden plant! It grows as a clump of very sturdy stems and appealing narrow foliage. Come summer, those majestic pink flower spikes start to appear. Not only do they bring a fantastic summery color to the garden, they also attract lots of pollinators. Be sure to plant enough to enjoy indoors in a vase as well as in the garden!
Though this perennial is extremely hardy, it definitely benefits from being kept dry in winter. Leaves stems in place to provide additional protection for the crown.
